Katrina & the Waves – 21:00

The first Capitol album, ‘Katrina & The Waves’ released in 1985, was a substantial critical and commercial success and ‘Walking on Sunshine was a worldwide hit earning top ten spots around the globe. Since then, the song has been broadcasted over 2,500,000 times in the U.S. and was the highest played track on radio in the Summer of 2008.

Katrina & The Waves toured worldwide with artists such as Wham, The Beach Boys, Don Henley, Pointer Sisters, Chaka Khan, The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac, Coolio and Run DMC and performed on the Fourth of July at The Mall, Washington DC to an audience of over 250,000 people, and at Madison Square Garden, The Marquee Club in London and CBGBs where Katrina sang with Joey Ramone.

Jive Bunny and the Master Mixers - 19:50

Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers originally shot to fame in 1989. From 1989 – 1991 they ruled the charts with their fast-moving party mixes and to date have amassed record sales exceeding 15 million.

Each Jive Bunny song is carefully crafted megamix of retro Rock N Roll hits, using samples and synthesising to create a whole new sound which appeals to all generations. The debut single, Swing the Mood, helped to coin the catchphrase 'c...c...c'mon everybody' by featuring a stuttering sample of Eddie Cochran at the start of the medley.

Sonia - 7pm

SONIA’S debut single You’ll Never Stop Me from Loving You was released in 1989 and shot to number one in the UK selling a staggering 350,000 copies. Numerous television appearances revealed her bubbly personality and natural enthusiasm endearing her to a large audience. Everybody Knows, her debut album sold half million copies and included a string of top singles such as Can’t Forget You, Listen To Your Heart and Counting Every Minute.
Further hits followed including Only Fools and Be Young, Be Foolish and a tour of Europe, The Far East and North and South America strengthened her already substantial following. She also presented “Wetter the Better”, a Saturday morning children’s TV show. Sonia – the UK representative in the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest came second to the Irish entry and her single Better The Devil You Know hit the UK charts at number 9 and her album, of the same name, entered the album charts at number 20.
SONIA then entered the world of theatre performing with Dennis Waterman in Slice of Saturday Night in London’s West End. Sonia was once again signed on the spot for the lead role of ‘Sandy’. For twelve months, she performed to a full house and critical acclaim alongside Craig McLachlan and Shane Richie. She then appeared as one of the major stars in the What A Feeling tour with Irene Cara, singing songs from the hit movies and musicals and travelling throughout the UK for four months. This proved to be so successful that a second UK tour was arranged plus an overseas tour.

Pat Sharp 80’s DJ Set – 17:20

Pat presented his first daytime show for BBC Radio 1 at just twenty years of age back in 1982. Following a year on air, plus numerous ‘Top of the Pops’ TV appearances, he then went on to host mid mornings at 95.8 Capital FM for a decade. Along the way he picked up a gold Sony award whilst also notching up 7 hit singles and raising over £300,000 for charity as part of the infamous Stock Aitken Waterman duo ‘Pat & Mick’. He then took his mid-morning slot to #1 again at Heart London. Over the years his radio shows have also been broadcast on BFBS for our troops worldwide, along with in-flight entertainment aboard Swissair & Virgin. Pat also hosted afternoons across the UK on Smooth Radio. On TV Pat hosted the now cult rated ITV show ‘ FunHouse ‘ for 12 years. In 2011 Pat Sharp swapped life behind the microphone for life in the jungle as he joined ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’, and now he’ll be DJing and hosting our main stage at Upton House Concerts, what an honour!

Dr and the Medics – 16:00

In 1986, Dr and the Medics had a multi-million selling No. 1 hit in 24 countries with “Spirit in the Sky”. By this time, they already had a reputation as a great live band with a unique show and exciting approach to performing.

Formed in 1982 they released their first single “The Druids Are Here”, reaching the heady heights of number 4 in the German Mod charts. Amongst their many other recordings, they also had an indie No. 1 in 1985 with the “Happy But Twisted” E.P. along with two American dance number 1 hits in recent years - plus a number of albums released to critical acclaim. 2015 saw Dr and the Medics return to the recording studio, releasing their acclaimed version of Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round”.

They are currently recording their first album since 1996, two tracks from which already appear in a horror film, “Howling”, which features the Doctor in a small acting role. So, with a pending album and a brilliantly busy gigging schedule, the Dr and his Medics look forward to entertaining you soon!
